What Is Postoperative Rehabilitation?
Post-surgical rehabilitation is a physiotherapy application that accompanies the natural healing of tissues after a surgical procedure, gradually restoring range of motion, strength and function. Ideally it begins before surgery (prehabilitation) and continues uninterrupted afterward. Even when surgery is successful, without proper rehabilitation stiffness, muscle weakness and long-term functional loss can become permanent. So you are part of a program that runs in sync with your surgical team's protocol, not something that only "starts when surgery ends."

Moderate protection (2–6 weeks) introduces manual therapy and initial strength work. Minimum protection (6–12 weeks) covers advanced strength, proprioception and functional movements. Return phase (3+ months) plans a safe return to work, sport or target activities. Each phase change depends on objective criteria being met, not on time alone.
