Frequently Asked Questions

From your first session to payment options — here are the questions our patients ask most often.

What happens during the first session?

The first session usually runs 45–60 minutes. I start by listening to your complaints, medical history and goals. Then I assess posture, range of motion and muscle strength. I explain the findings in plain language and together we draft a personalized treatment plan. We close with a light intervention and 2–4 simple home exercises.

How many sessions will I need?

Every patient is different. Acute injuries often feel significantly better in 4–6 sessions. Chronic conditions (disc herniation, frozen shoulder) need 8–15 sessions. Structural conditions like scoliosis require longer follow-up. At the end of the first session I give you a realistic estimate for your case.

Is physiotherapy painful?

No. The entire treatment stays within your pain tolerance. Some manual therapy techniques may cause brief discomfort, and you can feel mild muscle soreness after some sessions — that's normal. Always tell me how you're feeling so we can adjust pressure. "More pain means better results" is a myth.

Is insurance accepted?

As a private clinic, we do not contract with the Turkish SGK. Some supplementary private insurance policies cover part of the cost — I can issue an invoice for your claim. Confirm the conditions of your policy with your insurer in advance.

What conditions do you treat?

Lumbar and cervical disc herniation, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, tennis/golfer's elbow, knee injuries (ACL, meniscus), plantar fasciitis, pregnancy and postpartum issues, pediatric and elderly posture problems, migraine and tension-type headaches, post-surgical rehabilitation — these are the main areas I work on. You'll find a guide for each on our blog.

Do you offer home visits?

I offer home visits to a limited number of patients — especially those with post-surgical mobility limits, difficulty leaving bed, or elderly patients. Distance and condition are assessed case by case. Contact us for details.

How do I book an appointment?

Fill in the form on the booking page, message us on WhatsApp, or call directly. Patients who use the form get a reply within the same day. For same-day or next-day appointments, phone/WhatsApp is faster.

What are the payment options?

We accept cash, credit card, and bank transfer. For longer treatment packages (8+ sessions) we can arrange installment payment in advance. A VAT-inclusive receipt is provided after every session.

Is physiotherapy safe during pregnancy?

Yes, applied correctly it is very safe and beneficial. It offers a medication-free solution for pregnancy complaints like lower-back and pelvic pain, carpal tunnel, and sciatica. For high-risk pregnancies (placenta previa, history of preterm birth, etc.) we consult your obstetrician. Ideally come in for an assessment around weeks 14–16.

Do you treat children?

Yes. The most common cases I see in school-age children are postural problems, scoliosis, flat feet, and sports injuries. Programs are designed to be playful and age-appropriate. I encourage parental involvement because it boosts motivation.

Which parts of Antalya do you see patients from?

Our clinic is in Varlık Mahallesi, Muratpaşa. Beyond Muratpaşa, most patients travel from Konyaaltı, Lara, Kepez and Döşemealtı — 15 to 20 minutes by car. We have a separate page for each area covering travel and the complaints we see most from there.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No, you can book directly. If the assessment turns up something that needs medical review — progressive weakness, unexplained weight loss, pain that wakes you at night — we refer you on.

Do you treat in English or Russian?

Yes. Assessment, treatment and exercise instruction are available in Turkish, English and Russian, and you receive your home programme in writing in your preferred language.

Is there parking at the clinic?

Street parking is available on 172. Sokak. Tram and city bus stops are also within walking distance.
